Senior Data Science lead

What you'll do day to day:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL and ELT processes to support smooth data flows and ensure data integrity across platforms.
- Leverage your deep knowledge of SQL Server to handle complex queries, manage integrations, and optimize database performance for analytic workloads.
- Build engaging dashboards and data visualizations with Power BI and Tableau, translating raw data into actionable business insights.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs to connect diverse systems and extend the reach of your data solutions.
- Collaborate with the business intelligence team to uncover trends and drive data-driven decisions that influence market risk and finance strategies.
- Work in an all-Dutch speaking environment, contributing to projects and knowledge sharing in the Dutch language.
Function and scope:
- Main focus on senior-level data engineering, with additional responsibilities in business intelligence.
- End-to-end ownership of the technical data landscape, from architecture to delivery.
- Input in shaping how data is collected, stored, accessed, and visualized across the company.
- Opportunity to advise on and implement best practices for secure, scalable, and sustainable data solutions.

We’re looking for a senior expert who feels right at home with both Data Engineering and Business Intelligence, ready to take on responsibility in complex environments. The ideal person combines a sharp analytical mind with the drive to translate business needs into robust data solutions—always seeing the bigger picture, but also hands-on when it counts.
- Technical Mastery: A strong background in ETL/ELT processes, Power BI, Tableau, and SQL Server is essential. You should be just as comfortable designing a scalable data pipeline as you are visualizing insights in intuitive dashboards.
- API Fluency: Sound experience with REST API development so you can integrate data sources seamlessly.
- Business Understanding: While your main drive is technical quality, you’re genuinely curious about the business perspective and have a firm grasp of market risk and finance topics.
- Responsibility & Reliability: We value someone who owns outcomes, communicates clearly, and inspires trust among stakeholders.
- Language: Native-level Dutch skills are a must, as you’ll be working with Dutch-speaking teams and partners daily.
